Sharon Chakava Banda is currently the Operations Director at East African Educational Publishers (EAEP) where she has been for the past 8 years. EAEP is one of the oldest publishing houses in East Africa celebrating 55 years in operation.

Through EAEP Sharon is spearheading the Life Long Initiative which looks at equipping school libraries with story books so that children can learn to enjoy reading from an early age, developing this skill for life. She has an MSC with Merit from Oxford Brookes University in Oxford England in Hospitality with a specialization in Destination Marketing and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts USA.
